KPF was also the design architect for the renovation and redesign of the Goodwin-Stone Building (original museum building of 1939) and the Philip Johnson addition of 1964; this work included complete replacement of 53rd street facades, new design for public lobbies, restoration of the two Titus theaters and complete redesign of the 6th floor for the Museum’s direction including a new Trustees’ Boardroom (‘Founders’ Room’).
