	London • 100% Design January 2009 In these shaky financial times, straightforward goods and tried-and-true techniques are in vogue. 	Udine • Promosedia - November 2008 Dubbed the chair capital of the world, the northeastern Italian city of Udine hosted its 32nd International Chair Exhibition from September 13th through 16th showcasing the best the industry has to offer in terms of technology, innovative use of materials, and of course, design. 	Promosedia International Design Competition - November 2008 Since 1997 the Promosedia International Design Competition has celebrated designers under age 40 who devise innovative approaches “the wood chair.” This year’s six finalists gathered in northeastern Italian city of Udine, where their designs—crafted by the best prototype makers in the Chair District—were exhibited and judged by a jury of designers, journalists, and industry notables.
	Orlando • Coverings - October 2008 The premier exhibition of tile and stone in the U.S., this year’s Coverings, held April 29 to May 2, showcased an innovative mix from the world’s top producers featuring larger formats, color-through bodies, digitally printed patterning, textural surfaces, recycled glass, and advanced glazing. 	NeoCon September 2008 A first in NeoCon history placed Herman Miller’s Teneo as Best of Competition. A flexible filing/storage system, Teneo represents a trend toward clean, adaptable designs. 	ICFF - September 2008 Typically following Milan’s supersize furniture fair, the launches at N.Y.C.’s smaller International Contemporary Furniture Fair can echo the Italians. 	Las Vegas • Lightfair August 2008 Alternating between the East and West Coasts, LightFair International, North America’s annual lighting-industry event, this year found itself in Las Vegas showcasing a vast array of luminaires, daylighting products, and control devices. 	Chicago • KBIS July 2008 This year's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show held in April experienced its largest turnout ever, with nearly 1,000 exhibitors and more than 45,000 attendees. The good news: Style and technology converged for a greener product offering that scored high marks in terms of both aesthetics and function.

	Orlando • IBS June 2008 For residential and light construction, the International Builders’ Show is the largest there is. This year, more than 1,900 suppliers showcased their most innovative products in 1 million net square feet of exhibition space. The focus: energy efficiency, the environment, performance—and design.
	Verona • Marmomacc May 2008 The ancient and the high-tech met last October at Marmomacc, the 42nd International Exhibition of Stone Design and Technology in Verona, Italy, featuring innovative material applications alongside classic stones, some quarried since antiquity.
	Bologna • Cersaie April 2008 Tile is the thing at Cersaie, the ceramic-and-bath trade’s annual exhibition in Bologna, Italy. For its 25th anniversary, held October 2–6, 2007, more than 1,000 exhibitors displayed such diverse trends as super-size formats, black-and-white motifs, metallic accents and—of course—faux stone. 	Euroluce August 2007 This year marked the debut of the biennial Euroluce exhibition at the new Rho-Pero fairgrounds in Milan. Exhibitors made the most of the occasion by creating fantastic booths that put clever and often futuristic fixtures center stage.

	Las Vegas • Kitchen & Bath Industry Show July 2007 Once largely national in scope, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show has evolved into an influential international exposition. This May, a record-breaking 44,000 professionals filled three halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center to visit more than 1,000 exhibits representing the world’s top designers and manufacturers—including those from North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

	Stockholm • Stockholm Furniture Fair May 2007 The Stockholm Furniture Fair is gaining international prominence. This year’s February event hosted almost 41,000 visitors from around the world and served as a launch pad for the Nordic countries’ most prestigious manufacturers, such as Swedese and fjordfiesta.

	Cologne • International Furniture Fair April 2007 imm Cologne has the distinction of not only being the first furniture fair of the year, but one of the biggest. The ideal venue for Northern European companies to present their latest creations, imm also boasts one of the most international displays of furniture design anywhere. 	Bologna • Cersaie March 2007 With more than 1,000 exhibitors in 2006, Cersaie showcased a dizzying array of tiles with trends toward historically sourced floral prints, kitschy patterns, and gleaming metallic finishes. Cersaie Review 2004

	London • 100% Design February 2007 While Milan’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile represents the pinnacle of furniture-fair style, the London event 100% Design is a reference point for pathbreaking ideas and homegrown talent.

	CEDIA January 2007 It started out as a trade show built largely around multi-room music systems and home theater, but the annual CEDIA Expo, sponsored by the Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association, has grown into the signature trade event for a wide swath of custom electronics.
