Dubbed the chair capital of the world, the northeastern Italian city of Udine hosted its 32nd International Chair Exhibition from September 13th through 16th showcasing the best the industry has to offer in terms of technology, innovative use of materials, and of course, design.

Promosedia International Design Competition - November 2008

Since 1997 the Promosedia International Design Competition has celebrated designers under age 40 who devise innovative approaches “the wood chair.” This year’s six finalists gathered in northeastern Italian city of Udine, where their designs—crafted by the best prototype makers in the Chair District—were exhibited and judged by a jury of designers, journalists, and industry notables.

NeoCon

Lightfair

Alternating between the East and West Coasts, LightFair International, North America’s annual lighting-industry event, this year found itself in Las Vegas showcasing a vast array of luminaires, daylighting products, and control devices. It returns to New York City from May 5 to 7, 2009.
